It was hard to miss the New Balance Minimus commercials running during the first round games from the NCAA Tournament last night. New Balance has definitely committed to pushing its Minimus line of minimalist running shoes, and they’ve put together some great commercials as part of their marketing efforts.

So sad they have to resort to false advertising by saying it’s better than going barefoot. Nothing beats real barefooting, here are some things no footwear can emulate, no matter how minimal: true tactile sensation, freedom, instant sweat evaporation, lack of foot odor, just to name a few..
