As a Washington D.C. area resident and Redskins fan, I’m very conflicted by this post. On the one hand I love FiveFingers. On the other hand, I strongly dislike McNabb for the way he handled his exit from D.C. after a sub-par performance on the field two seasons ago. Poor performance is one thing, but trashing the coaching staff and team publicly is another.
So, it is with mixed emotion that I share this video of Donovan McNabb working out in FiveFingers. The VFF cameos are brief (check 1:50 & 2:10), and it appears that he likes wearing them in sand, but not so much on the field doing drills. (hat tip to @AspireLive on Twitter for sharing the link)

I actually thought he retired, so I was really surprised to see this video. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets signed somewhere again this year. My advice to any NFL team considering it: don’t.

Whatever they’re teaching (or not teaching) these days, I don’t have the luxury of an excuse and neither do most of the offenders I know. It was taught when I went to school, and I still have trouble with lie/lay.
